2. Settings
Connection Mode Switch
From top to bottom, the modes are:
- 2.4G Wireless Mode
- USB Wired Mode
- Bluetooth Mode
Indicator Lights
From top to bottom, the indicators are:

NUM Indicator (Numeric keypad): White light on = Numeric keypad enabled.

Capslock Indicator: Distinguishes case status; white light always on = Uppercase.

2.4G Indicator: White light always on = Successful 2.4G connection.
- Bluetooth Indicator: White light always on = Successful Bluetooth connection.
3. Connection Modes
USB Wired Mode
Toggle the mode switch to “Wired Mode.” Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the keyboard and plug the USB-A end into the computer’s USB port. The keyboard is now operational.
2.4G Wireless Mode

2.4G Connection: Connects to one USB-equipped device at a time.
Device Name: VGNV98Pro V3 2.4G Dongle
Toggle the left-side switch upward to “2.4G Wireless Mode.” The 2.4G indicator flashes slowly in white. Insert the wireless receiver into the computer’s USB port; the indicator stays solid white when connected. -
2.4G Re-pairing: Toggle the left-side switch upward to “2.4G Wireless Mode.” Long-press FN + 4$ for over 3 seconds (the 2.4G indicator flashes rapidly in white). Insert the wireless receiver into the computer’s USB port; the indicator stays solid white when paired.
Bluetooth Mode

Bluetooth Multi-Channel Connection: Connects to one Bluetooth device at a time (retains pairing info).
Device Names: VGNV98ProV3 BT1 / VGN V98Pro V3 BT2 / VGN V98Pro V3 BT3Toggle the left-side switch downward to BT. Follow these steps:- Channel 1: Long-press FN + 1! for 3 seconds (Bluetooth indicator flashes rapidly in white). Pair with VGNV98Pro V3 BT1 in your device’s Bluetooth list; the indicator stays solid white when paired.
- Channel 2: Long-press FN + 2@ for 3 seconds (Bluetooth indicator flashes rapidly in white). Pair with VGN V98Pro V3 BT2 in your device’s Bluetooth list; the indicator stays solid white when paired.
- Channel 3: Long-press FN + 3# for 3 seconds (Bluetooth indicator flashes rapidly in white). Pair with VGNV98Pro V3 BT3 in your device’s Bluetooth list; the indicator stays solid white when paired.
Switching Wireless Channels
After pairing:
- Short-press FN + 1! → Bluetooth Channel 1 (paired device).
- Short-press FN + 2@ → Bluetooth Channel 2 (paired device).
- Short-press FN + 3# → Bluetooth Channel 3 (paired device).
- Short-press FN + 4$ → 2.4G (paired device).
Sleep & Wake-Up
- Wireless Modes (2.4G/Bluetooth): Unused for 3 minutes → Level 1 Sleep (backlight off, wireless disconnected). Tap any key to wake (restores state).
- Wired Mode: Backlight remains on.
- Pairing Timeout: Pairing fails after 1 minute → Keyboard sleeps (indicator off). Tap any key to resume pairing.
- Reconnection Timeout: Reconnection fails after 20 seconds → Keyboard sleeps. Reconnect manually.
4. Charging & Low-Battery Indication
The Spacebar is the charging indicator:

Low Battery: Red light flashes rapidly.

Charging: Blue light stays solid.

Fully Charged: Green light stays solid for 60 seconds, then returns to the default effect.

Below 20% battery (3.4–3.5V): Spacebar flashes red until sleep/shutdown.

Below 3.2V: Keyboard shuts down automatically.
The keyboard charges when connected to a computer via the included cable (any mode).
5. Battery Check (Wireless Mode)
With no USB cable connected:
Hold FN + Right CTRL. The backlight turns off, and keys 1! to 0) light up to show the battery percentage.

6. Lighting Effects & Customization

On power-up, the default backlight is Colorful Running Lights. After it turns off, the backlight reverts to the last used effect. First-time boot defaults to Flow with the Tide.

Steady On → Breathing → Dreamy Rainbow → Instant Glow → Stroll in the Rain → Rainbow Wheel → Key Ripple → Starry Night → Flowing Stream → Flow with the Tide (Default) → Shadow Follow → Sine Wave → Spinning Windmill → Colorful Waterfall → Blossoming Fortune
7. Custom Lighting
- Press FN + `~ to enter Custom Lighting Mode. By default, ESC, A, S, D, W, ↑, ↓, ←, → light up blue.
- Press FN + `~ again to enter Recording Mode (CapsLock and Num indicators flash until recording ends).
- Press the same key repeatedly to cycle colors. Customize other keys to create your pattern.
- Press FN + `~ again to save as a custom effect.

Lighting Key Function Table

10. Common Issues
Q: Why isn’t my WIN key working?
A: If locked via FN + WIN, the WIN key is disabled (WIN indicator on). Press FN + WIN again to unlock.

A: Pressing FN + S switches to MAC Mode. In Windows, this swaps WIN/ALT and makes F1–F12 function keys. Press FN + A to return to Windows Mode.
